BMW M235i tuned up with Vector Tuning Power Box
The first generation of the BMW 2 Series consists of the BMW F22 (coupe version) and BMW F23 (convertible version) compact cars. Released as the successor to the E82 1 Series coupés and E88 1 Series convertibles, the F22 is produced alongside the F20 1 Series hatchback range. As per the F20, the F22/F23 is powered by 3-cylinder petrol, 4-cylinder petrol, 4-cylinder diesel and 6-cylinder petrol turbocharged engines.
The BMW M version of the 2 Series is the BMW M2 coupé. The M2 was initially powered by a high performance version of the N55 turbocharged straight-six engine. In 2018 the updated M2, called the M2 Competition, switched to the BMW S55 straight-six engine as used by the F80 M3 and the F82 M4.
The M235i Racing is the track version of the 2 Series developed. It is used at the BMW M235i Racing Cup. It is also sold to customer teams in other championships, such as the 24H Series, Touring Car Endurance Series and Pirelli World Challenge. The 3.0 L N55 straight-six engine develops a maximum output of 245 kW (333 PS; 329 hp).
The M235i hits 100 km/h in 4.8 sec while top speed is limited to 250 km/h.
